Securing an NCAGE Code for International Contracts

Non-U.S. businesses bidding on federal contracts or NATO solicitations cannot obtain a standard CAGE code directly [1]. Instead, they must secure a NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) code through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) portal.

The NCAGE code is a 5-character identifier that links the foreign firm's address to the international codification system [1]. Once the NCAGE code is issued, the entity can complete their registration on SAM.gov to receive a Unique Entity ID (UEI) [2]. The legal name and address on the NCAGE registration must match the SAM.gov profile exactly.
